Warning signs - Betting more than you planned, or more than you can afford. - Chasing losses, or betting to escape stress, boredom or low mood. - Hiding your betting from people close to you, or lying about it. - Borrowing money, selling things, or missing bills to bet. - Feeling irritable or restless when you try to cut back. - Betting getting in the way of work, study, sleep or relationships.

Practical limits - Decide a money limit and a time limit before you start, and write them down. - Treat any money staked as spent, not invested. - Never bet with borrowed money or money set aside for essentials. - Take regular breaks, and never bet while impaired or upset. - Use the deposit limits, session limits, cool-off and self-exclusion tools your sportsbook offers.
